I've been asked several times, "Where's an upscale place I can take my dog?"  The answer used to be "umm.....uh...... um......." because there weren't many upscale dining spots in Austin.  Most of the dog friendly places were bars, casual restaurants, or fast-food chains.  Now that Austin's food scene has grown into into foodie playground, I can offer up a list of upscale dining locations.  These are listed in no particular order, and subject to change as restaurants open and close.   Don't forget to keep your puppy (and yourself!) on your best behavior.  Dining out with your dog is a privilege.  Don't ruin it for others!
