It isn't any secret that I used to teach at Le Cordon Bleu as an adjunct professor. One of the perks was the occasional complimentary meal. Technique Restaurant at Le Cordon Bleu in Austin is closing on Dec. 14th to my disappointment. The meals there were very affordable ($10 for a three course meal), and the food was thoughtful and well-executed. I had my very last meal here on Dec. 8th, and I thought I'd show you some photos. RIP, Technique. This was the caprese salad. Notice that the mozarella was fried. Yes. It was delicious. I should try making this at home. Lamb shank with mushrooms and risotto was comforting on the freezing day. It was pretty darn tasty. This chocolate mousse was utterly fantastic. Not to mention that the presentation was gorgeous. So long, Technique. Thanks for the good times. |
